My daily make up for work

I've been working an office job. Its not exactly a very stressed job, but being in a whole new industry (insurance), I have a lot to learn. And no, I don't sell insurance. Haha.

So everyday I use make up to look a little less ugly and less tired. Here's what I use on a daily basis! And little reviews as we go along.

1. Moisturizer

Laneige's Light Emulsion. Lightweight, comfy, not oily, enough moisture. Only a tiny bit is needed as it spreads really well.

2. Primer

Banila Co. Prime Primer in Classic. Sometimes I use Etude House's Baby Choux Base in #02 and sometimes I use Tony Moly's Cat Wink Base in Mint, but I always go back to Banila Co.'s cos it lasts the longest without being too oily.

3 (a). Foundation

Etude House Cotton Fit BB Cream W13/ Make Up Forever HD foundation #117. I use them depending on how hot the weather is hahahaha. If its a rainy day, I would use MUFE's, and if its really hot I'd reach for Etude House's. Both are good to me, just that I go with my feelings :P Cotton Fit BB is pretty matte and has pretty good oil control for me. Even when it goes through the day, it become a nice glow instead of an oilfield. Love! Oh, and I find sunscreens a hassle so I just use a foundation with SPF.

3 (b). Undereye concealing/ concealing

I conceal my undereye darkness with M.A.C's Prolong Wear Concealer in NW20, simply cos the W would add a pink tint to slightly cancel out the blue on my undereye darkness. It lasts and lasts till I remove it at the end of the day. Hardcore stuff! Also, I use Missha's The Style concealer to conceal my acne and scars and whatnot. Very pigmented, but dry. Doesn't last all day, but decently at about 5 hours. Also, I use my (past) favourite concealer, Canmake's Cover & Stretch concealer #01 on my acne, scars and whatnot sometimes cos its waterproof! The coverage is awesome, but however feels really thick. It has SPF too!

4. Powder Foundation

YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat powder foundation in B20. Veryyyyyy plush and velvety feeling, not too talc-y (even though there's talc) and dry. A little bit of coverage but it adhere's really well onto the skin, even without a base. I don't have a case for it because I would only get it if I decide to make this a staple. Heheh. I also set with Make Up For Ever's Super Matte Loose Powder. Feels slightly talc-y and dry though.

5. Eyebrows

My usual Lavshuca eyebrow compact in LBR-1. Gentle colour, soft powder, lasting and not too expensive. Sadly it isn't available in Singapore :( Sometimes I use a pencil when I'm lazy. Just draw on and spoolie over hahaha. And the pencil I use is Shiseido Eyebrow Pencil in BR704.

6. Eyeliner

Again, depending on my mood. I rotate a lot of eyeliners, but mainly I reach for a Solone liquid eyeliner, Etude House Proof 10 liquid eyeliner, Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in Zero and MUFE Aqua Pencil eyeliner. They're all okay, but both UD's and MUFE's transfers onto my bottom lids by lunch time. Concluded that liquid liners work better with me, hehe.

7. Blusher

I use Stila's Peachy Keen and Melliesh's Tan Orange. They both end up with almost the same light peach colour which I really love. Both don't last all day, but decently at about 6 hours.

8. Contour

I add a bit of shading powder on the sides of my face, with either Etude House's Face Corset #5 or Essence matte bronzing compact powder. They last long if not, fades with a natural finish. Nothing too dirty looking.

9. Lips

I don't usually use a lip colour when I go to work cos I felt that my lip colours are too bright. I just use a lip balm, and my recent fave is Comfort Zone's Sacred Nature bio-certified lipstick. Its not a lipstick though, no colour at all. Its very moisturizing and lasts a long time on my lips! It smells like shea butter too! Oh, and its 100% organic. First organic product in my collection wahaha.

One thing I don't like doing recently is taking pictures of myself :P so no lotd! HEHEH. So this is it! My favourite makeup for daily use :)

Thanks for reading!~

[SAMPLE REVIEW] Skinfood Salmon Eye Cream

Hi! I got this a sachet of Skinfood's Salmon Eye Cream with some Korean cosmetics, and only recently I felt like trying it :P

I know right! Salmon?! On your skin?! Well, that's Skinfood for you. Salmon is not as bad as.. CREAMY CHEESE MASK! Well, I like cheese in my food but not on my face. *squirms*

It does not smell one bit like salmon. Smells a lot like jasmine flowers, A LOT!!! An overly strong smell of jasmine, which is weird since salmon is used instead. *50 points deducted*

It's a white cream, which I feel is oily and fatty, and only a little is required. This sachet lasted me for 5 times, for both eyes! Not the best texture for an eye brightening cream. I believe this is gonna be bad for people with oily or problematic skin and may not be able to withstand the richness of this eye cream.

Stays really oily for at least 10 minutes, felt like the absorption was reeeaaalllyyy slow. Besides, I've used it for 5 times and there are no significant changes. No brighteni…

Buy & Sell Hello Kitty plushies!!

Hahaha okay so I received over 10 emails on whether I have an extra Macdonald's Hello Kitty to let go or not. Fact is that I didn't buy any >.< So I decided to create a blog post where you Kitty collectors can interact and hopefully get a reply from a potential buyer/seller. Simply comment on this post! :)

[HAUL] Holika Holika!

The first branch of Holika Holika opened its doors in Singapore @ Wisma Atria today! Supposedly at 12, but when I reached there, they were still drilling and hanging stuff, and said to be back in 30 mins.

A huge poster of its ambassador at the side of its shop, CN Blue!!!!!!! Mysterious Magic Cosmetics~ (and endorsed by guys and a cat.. Hmm mysterious enough)

Before it was open! Yet to pull down its blinds~ It's a shop tucked at the corner, beside an escalator. Near Cotton On!
Couldn't get a nice picture of its sign! But you can see a bit of its interior, which is a lavender colour and has nice shelves! It goes with a mystical or magical theme :)

My mini haul from the store! VERY DE EX PLS The highly raved about egg soap @ $20.00 for 2 eggs Make-up Starter primer @ $2.50 per piece Wonder Drawing Eyeliner Auto Stick @ $10.00 Enamel Magicara Long and Curling FREE hehehe

Its a small tube since its free! But its pretty good! There's fibre in it and the brush is kinda special…
