[K-ANDY] Recent releases

Happy Sunday!

I've been pretty free recently to catch up on k-chart shows, and here are my fave acts that released something recently! Numbered in order, hehe.

5. Roy Kim - Spring Spring Spring/ Bom Bom Bom
I didn't like this song initially (cos I didn't really notice Roy Kim from Superstar K4) but the tune is pretty catchy and it feels like a light-hearted and happy song, which I like. Spring is an awesome season (says the Singaporean who doesn't even have seasons in her country) and I super love songs released about it! Love how light it feels~

4. Yoo Seung Woo - You & I
Another light-hearted song. I lovvveedd Yoo Seung Woo from Superstar K4 and I'm super happy he released a song! Always thought he had great potential as a singer, not to mention he looks really cute! In short, its the kind of song I like, the kind of voice I like. HE'S SO CUTE ISN'T IT!? Funny, I prefer cute guys than muscular K-pop beasts *cough Taecyeon*

3. David Choi - When I Was Your Man
Not a k-pop act, but his cover of the current hit song from Bruno Mars is a hit on my charts (LOL). To justify this song to be in a post classified under K-ANDY (K-pop ear/eye candy), David Choi is actually born in a Korean family. His cover of the song is just really soulful and sad, maybe cos he revealed that he was unfortunately heartbroken recently. To be able to pick up yourself after a relationship quickly and continue his career which people expect him to deliver, wow. David is coming to Singapore soon! I'm happy to see him again, of course, but I hope he gets some rest cos he's been touring and was just in SG in March.

2. 4minute - What's Your Name
Catchy tune, catchy dance! K-pop is all about these moves and tunes anyway, right? I didn't really like the lyrics. I think I saw a line like "I'm not an easy girl" and then the next second she's like "don't leave me here alone"... hmm. Its just catchy! Like unknowingly I hum or sing a line sometimes. Oh! And I think Sohyun looks so cute here! >.<

1. T-ARA N4 - Jeon Won Diary
I've always liked T-ara and this song is no exception! I didn't like the lyrics too, its just too repetitive and almost each line meant the same thing and I see no link to the countryside (Jeon Won), but its soooo catchy, more than 4minute's What's Your Name. Like allkpop mentioned, I kinda think that its a song addressing their haters too (I mean look at Jiyeon's smug face when saying "Mind your own business") so it isn't doing very well on k-charts like Secret & 4minute are? Hahaha I like the song, like the dance, like the mv, like the style, but don't like their smug faces (except Areum ofcos haha) and don't like how the lyrics are this brainless. But anyway, good job in injecting the catchy song and dance into my mind!

I'm trying to post more frequently so stay tuned!~

Outing to Farmart

Hi~

Met Angie for a bonding day awhile ago. Supposingly we went to the River Safari because Angie had free tix, but we ended up at Farmart because the tix were expired. The trip to Farmart totally savaged the day!

The place is easily accessible by taking a shuttle bus ($1 each way) that comes every 30 mins, opposite Choa Chu Kang Lot 1. It was an eye-opener for me. It felt like Malaysia. Lol.

There was a pet food store cum pet hotel and I bought some food (vitakraft sticks & fish fillets) for my favourite neighbourhood cats. The pricing is slightly cheaper than town prices so I bought a bigger pack. The place mainly is a farm and food place, as online articles mentioned that they sell cheaper seafood but the stalls were mostly closed that day. There were also a bird shop and prawning area. The farm.. is really interesting.

There were super tamed parrots (or mini parrots lol)
Stacked tortoises
Creepy toads
Sleepy birds
We bought the feed while we were there. The $5 set was totally …

[SAMPLE REVIEW] Skinfood Salmon Eye Cream

Hi! I got this a sachet of Skinfood's Salmon Eye Cream with some Korean cosmetics, and only recently I felt like trying it :P

I know right! Salmon?! On your skin?! Well, that's Skinfood for you. Salmon is not as bad as.. CREAMY CHEESE MASK! Well, I like cheese in my food but not on my face. *squirms*

It does not smell one bit like salmon. Smells a lot like jasmine flowers, A LOT!!! An overly strong smell of jasmine, which is weird since salmon is used instead. *50 points deducted*

It's a white cream, which I feel is oily and fatty, and only a little is required. This sachet lasted me for 5 times, for both eyes! Not the best texture for an eye brightening cream. I believe this is gonna be bad for people with oily or problematic skin and may not be able to withstand the richness of this eye cream.

Stays really oily for at least 10 minutes, felt like the absorption was reeeaaalllyyy slow. Besides, I've used it for 5 times and there are no significant changes. No brighteni…

DIY blusher cushion with a finished compact

Hi!

I always wanted to buy a cushion blusher, seeing how convenient how cushion foundations are but I've never actually gotten down to get one seeing how expensive they were. The one that I wanted was an IOPE one cos it comes in a usual cushion compact with a mirror and it looks so easy to use! So I took out my finished cushion compacts (an Etude House Lock'n Summer one and an IOPE Air Cushion XP) and washed them really clean. Also, I found myself rarely using the Etude House Water Color cream blushes (I only tried the orange once and the rest were brand new and sealed.. man, the result of hoarding and forgetting what you have) because I don't know of a proper way to blend creamy blushes lol. I liked its colors and finish though; feels matte and smooth but it does not look overly powdery. The blushers are the right texture for the deed, so I used them for my DIY blusher cushion. P/s. this isn't exactly a tutorial as I think most people can do this without instructions,…
