"Don't know working or eating lor!"

Ya lor! Don't know whether I'm having internship or the time of my life since my former internship company moved to Spottiswoode Park Road. Every lunch time is sooooooooo enjoyable with my comrade, Kelly! Hahaha we always eat the best food around :P

1. Bak Chor Mee @ Top Of The Town
Address: 167 Neil Road
Operating hours: 24 hours! Not sure about the days though :/
Price: $3.50
What's in: Choice of noodles, slice of mock abalone, fishcake slices, minced meat (pork), pork slices, lard cubes, big fishball, one piece of wanton, ikan bilis, mushroom & garnished with chopped spring onions. Come with a small bowl of soup with lettuce and seaweed, garnished with chopped spring onions.
Not too good: too much pork hahahahha. There's the fried lard cubes, minced pork and sliced pork! I also guess that the fillings in the wanton is pork >.< There's hardly more than a few tiny bits of lard though.

First ate this when colleague recommended! I swear I fell in love!!!!!!!! I have a very low limit for spiciness so I had mine with ketchup and vinegar :P I think it kinda justifies the price that there's quite a variety of ingredients and overall its a super savoury dish! Even brought my family and friends there :P

2. Waffle with vanilla ice-cream & fresh fruits @ Strangers' Reunion
Address: 37 Kampong Bahru Road
Operating hours: 9am - 10pm, closed on Tue.
Price: $8.50
What's in: Buttermilk waffle, one scoop of vanilla ice-cream, strawberries, bananas and blueberries.
Not too good: only that the price is pretty steep :P and also don't expect sweet strawberries because most strawberries are sour. But obviously I don't blame them for it cos they don't taste them!

Hahaha first discovered this when my comrade Kelly and I were looking around for dessert. Passed by Strangers' Reunion and we saw.. They had waffles! Waffles with vanilla ice-cream is definitely the best kinda pairing so welcome, yummy in my tummy. The ice-cream wasn't very sweet or overly creamy or buttery! It tasted like vanilla, unsweetened and complements the other topping and the waffle. The waffle is actually pretty big for one person to finish, so Kelly and I always shared one.. after our lunch :P The feeling of devouring one of these is.. happiness, joy and contentment :P #thingsonlyagluttonwillsay but anyway, I highly recommend this place for coffee lovers cos the boss/barista is Singapore National Barista Champion 2011 AND 2012! You've gotta check out this place if you love great coffee!

I also super recommend their smoked salmon pizza :') TOO YUMMY!!!

3. Kway teow goreng @ Everton Park food court (Indian Muslim stall)
Address: unknown :P Under a HDB block once you enter Everton Park from the main gate :)
Operating hours: unknown :P
Price: $3.50
What's in: Choice of noodles, mutton, veg, peas, bean sprouts, egg, onions and cucumber
Not too good: I'm not sure if all mutton are like that or its just this stall, its kinda smelly :(

The first time I ordered, so there was peas and mutton cos I didn't know yet :P

I loveeeee it cos I'm super picky :P I had mine with no mutton, no chilli, no peas, kway teow instead of the usual mee and a bowl of ketchup by the side (yes I love ketchup this much). I think it tastes awesome and I miss it so much now that I'm not having internship there anymore :( My order was so "special" that the uncle would be like "okok I know I know" when he sees my face at his stall hahahahaha. Miss that plate of goodness a lot :(

4. Beancurd pudding @ Soyfield/Beano
Address: Blk 6 Everton Park #01-16
Operating hours: 8am - 8.30pm, Mon - Sun
Price: $1.20/$1.50 can't remember :P
What's in: beancurd pudding
Not too good: nothing! :D

No pic of le tau huay but a cool banner of their shop!

Another recommendation by colleague. We had the pudding tauhuay, something like Lao Ban kind which is not traditional with syrup. Not very sweet, had NO settlement at the bottom. Brought my friends there once after their closing hours but they were still open and willing to sell to us! hehehe awesome. Super silky and melts in the mouth! :') LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT

5. Strawberry custard cake @ Grin Affair
Address: 3 Everton Park #01-77
Operating hours: 12pm - 8pm (or till they sell out)
Price: $5.50
What's in: fresh strawberries, strawberry mousse, vanilla cake
Not too good: nothing! Not even the price that is steep! Because it tastes too awesome!!

Picture from their website cos I was too excited and gobbled mine up.

Got to know about them when my dear boss bought a load of them to treat us for helping in moving the company :')

Kelly & I shared a dark choc & banaoffee when boss treated us!

The strawberry one was on the top of our wanted list but each time we go to the shop, its sold out!! :( So one day another of our colleague wanted to order 8 of them for her clients, and we took this chance to order our strawberry cakes! YAY!!! They tasted so heavenly that I didn't mind the price and all. Just pure happiness.

So if you are near Spottiswoode Park Road, Neil Road, Blair Road or Everton Park, you know what to do! hehehehehe

[SAMPLE REVIEW] Skinfood Salmon Eye Cream

Hi! I got this a sachet of Skinfood's Salmon Eye Cream with some Korean cosmetics, and only recently I felt like trying it :P

I know right! Salmon?! On your skin?! Well, that's Skinfood for you. Salmon is not as bad as.. CREAMY CHEESE MASK! Well, I like cheese in my food but not on my face. *squirms*

It does not smell one bit like salmon. Smells a lot like jasmine flowers, A LOT!!! An overly strong smell of jasmine, which is weird since salmon is used instead. *50 points deducted*

It's a white cream, which I feel is oily and fatty, and only a little is required. This sachet lasted me for 5 times, for both eyes! Not the best texture for an eye brightening cream. I believe this is gonna be bad for people with oily or problematic skin and may not be able to withstand the richness of this eye cream.

Stays really oily for at least 10 minutes, felt like the absorption was reeeaaalllyyy slow. Besides, I've used it for 5 times and there are no significant changes. No brighteni…

Buy & Sell Hello Kitty plushies!!

Hahaha okay so I received over 10 emails on whether I have an extra Macdonald's Hello Kitty to let go or not. Fact is that I didn't buy any >.< So I decided to create a blog post where you Kitty collectors can interact and hopefully get a reply from a potential buyer/seller. Simply comment on this post! :)

Begin your comment with WTB (want to buy) or WTS (want to sell) for easier reference!

[HAUL] Holika Holika!

The first branch of Holika Holika opened its doors in Singapore @ Wisma Atria today! Supposedly at 12, but when I reached there, they were still drilling and hanging stuff, and said to be back in 30 mins.

A huge poster of its ambassador at the side of its shop, CN Blue!!!!!!! Mysterious Magic Cosmetics~ (and endorsed by guys and a cat.. Hmm mysterious enough)

Before it was open! Yet to pull down its blinds~ It's a shop tucked at the corner, beside an escalator. Near Cotton On!
Couldn't get a nice picture of its sign! But you can see a bit of its interior, which is a lavender colour and has nice shelves! It goes with a mystical or magical theme :)

My mini haul from the store! VERY DE EX PLS The highly raved about egg soap @ $20.00 for 2 eggs Make-up Starter primer @ $2.50 per piece Wonder Drawing Eyeliner Auto Stick @ $10.00 Enamel Magicara Long and Curling FREE hehehe

Its a small tube since its free! But its pretty good! There's fibre in it and the brush is kinda special…
