[SAMPLE REVIEW] Baviphat Mango Steam Scrub

Hihi! Shall do a review of... Baviphat's Mango Steam Scrub! I've only used it once btw, and it already made itself a blacklisted product in my list. Read on to find out why :)

Check out its face and Asian peace sign. hehe.

Frankly, I've never heard of the term "steam scrub" so I thought it was just a scrub that was steamed and therefore, a steamed scrub. Infact, I thought that this scrub was made of steamed mangoes.

If you could see the scrub, it actually has some kinda brownish beads inside. Idk but I keep thinking its the mango seed, minced! It smells like fresh and yummy mangoes, and the best thing about this product is the smell! Its so delicious and makes me wanna have a mango rightaway!

Its like jelly actually. With bits of mango seeds hehe. Fine they're just scrub thingy, not literally seeds.

I thought it was just a normal scrub, but when I apply it on my face,..... nah there isn't anything special. But when I rubbed it, OMG IT BURNS. Its like applying chilli slimming gel on your face! And because I have the habit of covering my whole face with soap (duh, we all wash our whole face), I applied it around my eyes too (before the burning starts) and it burnt!!! The irritation did not go away, only after 15 minutes? The aftermath sensation was kinda bad too. It has an overly minty albeit hot feeling on your face, and worse around the eyes, mouth and nostrils. Could not help but rinse it away like straightaway. They said to "massage it for 3-5 minutes" but I can't take it for 5 seconds with just minor massaging.
So some points about this:

-Does not foam up; its a scrub, not a face wash
-Smells absolutely like fresh and yummy mangoes
-Contains brown beads for exfoliation
-The scrub heats up as you massage it onto your skin
-Don't rub too fast, or IT BURNS
-Best to try it on the back of your hand first, to prevent a "surprise"
-No improvement of my skin. Feels the same.

Hehe thank goodness its just a sample. I would never buy this :P

[SAMPLE REVIEW] Skinfood Salmon Eye Cream

Hi! I got this a sachet of Skinfood's Salmon Eye Cream with some Korean cosmetics, and only recently I felt like trying it :P

I know right! Salmon?! On your skin?! Well, that's Skinfood for you. Salmon is not as bad as.. CREAMY CHEESE MASK! Well, I like cheese in my food but not on my face. *squirms*

It does not smell one bit like salmon. Smells a lot like jasmine flowers, A LOT!!! An overly strong smell of jasmine, which is weird since salmon is used instead. *50 points deducted*

It's a white cream, which I feel is oily and fatty, and only a little is required. This sachet lasted me for 5 times, for both eyes! Not the best texture for an eye brightening cream. I believe this is gonna be bad for people with oily or problematic skin and may not be able to withstand the richness of this eye cream.

Stays really oily for at least 10 minutes, felt like the absorption was reeeaaalllyyy slow. Besides, I've used it for 5 times and there are no significant changes. No brighteni…

[HAUL] Holika Holika!

The first branch of Holika Holika opened its doors in Singapore @ Wisma Atria today! Supposedly at 12, but when I reached there, they were still drilling and hanging stuff, and said to be back in 30 mins.

A huge poster of its ambassador at the side of its shop, CN Blue!!!!!!! Mysterious Magic Cosmetics~ (and endorsed by guys and a cat.. Hmm mysterious enough)

Before it was open! Yet to pull down its blinds~ It's a shop tucked at the corner, beside an escalator. Near Cotton On!
Couldn't get a nice picture of its sign! But you can see a bit of its interior, which is a lavender colour and has nice shelves! It goes with a mystical or magical theme :)

My mini haul from the store! VERY DE EX PLS The highly raved about egg soap @ $20.00 for 2 eggs Make-up Starter primer @ $2.50 per piece Wonder Drawing Eyeliner Auto Stick @ $10.00 Enamel Magicara Long and Curling FREE hehehe

Its a small tube since its free! But its pretty good! There's fibre in it and the brush is kinda special…
